Michael Hughes Jr.

Pastor Michael Hughes Jr. was born on September 24, 1999, to Mr. Michael Hughes Sr. and Mrs. Alma M. Hughes.

For over 23 years, he has been a devoted member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, actively serving in various ministries, including the choir, the youth department, and the BTU Christian Education program. A gifted musician, he has contributed his talents as a drummer and steel guitar player. His journey in ministry expanded when Apostle Tonya Right recognized his calling and welcomed him to share his gifts at Healing in the City Ministries. A year later, she ordained him as an Elder.

Seeking to return to his spiritual roots, Elder Hughes later joined Jerusalem Baptist Church, where Rev. Bernard Brown ordained him as a Pastor under the Baptist doctrine. His spiritual journey has been a testimony of growth, faith, and divine favor, allowing him to proclaim God’s word with passion and purpose.

Beyond his ministry, Pastor Hughes has pursued professional excellence. He graduated from R.B. Stall High School in 2018, where he served as the student bank manager for Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union (now Rev Federal Credit Union). His dedication and leadership led to his hiring as a Member Service Representative upon graduation. He currently serves in the banking industry as an employee of South Carolina Federal Credit Union.

A dynamic youth speaker, Pastor Hughes has answered his calling in youth ministry for many years. On July 14, 2024, he took a bold step of faith and founded Kingdom Restoration Ministries. Just months later, from December 6–8, 2024, the ministry was officially launched, and Pastor Michael Hughes Jr. was installed as its pastor.

Gifted with a heart for leadership and a deep love for God’s people, Pastor Hughes continues to inspire and encourage everyone he meets. His presence leaves a lasting impact, always pointing others toward the love of Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 2:9
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."
